My name is Concepción Domínguez Suárez. I live in Buenos Aires City.
My parents were born in Galicia, northwest Spain. They met and got married in Barcelona, then I was born there.
My parents and I came to Argentina when I was nearly four years old. And since then I have been living in this wonderful country.
I grew up in Longchamps, a town that is 27 km south Buenos Aires City.
When I finished high school we moved to San Telmo neighbourhood. Now I am living in Balvanera, a neighbourhood next to downtown in Buenos Aires City.
I worked for an American bank, BankBoston, until October 2002. They wanted to downsize as other banks did in those days.
"Downsize": a modern euphemism to use it instead of "eliminating employees".
"Our company is not having the same profits we used to have and stockholders don't want to wait for better times!"
It was hard to quit after nearly 37 years working there. I took the chance and I am very happy now.
